Shana Steinmetz

Girls Camp Director

Shana is currently the Director of Hustle & Heart Sports, which runs clinics and leagues in Long Island, NY throughout the year. She is the girls sports pro in Camp Lavi. She is also the Director of the 5 Towns Girls Soccer and Basketball Leagues. Along with running JV Elite Basketball camp, Shana worked as the sports pro in Camp Mesorah and Camp Morasha, ran the basketball program at Hillel Day Camp and coached the Varsity girls basketball teams at Central and HANC.

Shana has been involved with competitive sports since 5th grade at Manhattan Day School, where her single game scoring record in basketball still stands. During high school, she played Varsity basketball at SKA where she never lost a game. She was a 2 time league MVP and a 2 time tournament MVP at the Boca Yeshiva High School tournament. Shana also played AAU and Maccabiah basketball during her high school years.

Kristin Rainbolt

Coach & Drills Instructor

Coach Kristin is currently the Head Girls Coach at the Moriah School and coach at prominent AAU programs, one in New York City called Mo Motion Inc. and Zion Academy in Northern New Jersey.

Coach Kristin is from Florida, whose basketball talents brought her to the Tri-State area for her college Junior year to play at the NCAA Division II level. 

Coach Kristin’s outlook on basketball is if you start with the basics and build with a lot of repetition and consistency, you will start to see your skills and knowledge of the game increase dramatically.

Coach Kristin is a School Social Worker with Bergen County Special Services School District where she provides counseling to students with psychiatric and behavioral disabilities.  Coach Kristin enjoys working with students and athletes from all walks of life.



Tess Blaustein

Head Counselor

Tess has been involved in competitive sports since a very young age through College at YU Stern College for Women basketball team. Tess currently works for NCSY Summer and travels all over the world visiting schools and teens. Last summer she was a Teen Division Head at Camp Lavi.

Shaina Gross

Division Head

Coach Shaina is from Englewood, NJ where she grew up playing for Moriah, Frisch and club team at Rutgers. Shaina has coached in the yeshiva league at Frisch, Yavneh, Noam and currently is the head coach of RYNJ for the past 4 years, and AD at BPY. Shaina is excited and looking forward to camp!

Ilona Diamond

Head Counselor

Ilona is currently is the Basketball, Softball and Soccer coach at HAFTR. Ilona has been involved in competitive sports as a player and coach since a very young age. Ilona was the assistant Head of Sports at Camp Shoshanim and is currently the program director at Hillel Day Camp.


Ryan Kennedy

Coach & Drills Instructor

Ryan played and graduated from Xavier High School in Manhattan. He played 1 year at Pace University (DII) and then 3 years at Farmingdale State College where he played against the YU Macs and was a skyline conference rival. He currently is the owner of Grind City Training, a premier travel basketball and player development program located in Queens. He will be joining us at basketball camp this summer to give his expertise on footwork, and getting to the basket.

Naomi Butler

Coach & Drills Instructor

Naomi attended Hustle & Heart Basketball camp the first summer as a camper and then later summers as a ref and drills instructor. She currently works for Hustle & Heart running drills & clinics, works for All in One Athletics as a coach and is the Basketball pro at Camp Lavi. Naomi currently attends Queens College.

Naomi was a leading player in the Yeshiva League playing for Central. She played Varsity as a sophomore and won school athletic awards such as the most improved player, coaches award, and the impact award. She played power forward and was a top scorer including a high score of 26 points.

Michael Sweetney

Coach & Drills Instructor

Coach Mike is currently the assistant Men’s Coach at Yeshiva University and works for Hustle & Heart running drills & clinics during the year. He previously was the Varsity High School Girls Coach at Ramaz.

Coach Mike was drafted 9th overall by the New York Knicks in 2003. He played power forward in the NBA and played in college at Georgetown where he averaged 18.2 points per game and shot 55% from the field.

Coach Mike ran a basketball camp in Israel, and is the currently the basketball pro at Camp Lavi.

Nesta Felix

Guest Coach

Coach Felix is currently the Head Coach of Westchester Community College. 

Coach Felix was the women’s basketball coach at Yeshiva University from 2012 to 2015 and was named the Hudson Valley Athletic Conference Co-Coach of the Year in 2014. She also has coached at Woodlands High School in Hartsdale, New York with a 15-5 record, currently coaches a Scarsdale, eighth-grade tri-county girls basketball team, and was assistant women’s basketball coach at Monroe College from 2002 to 2008. She received her B.A. from Iona College and her M.A.at Monroe College.

Paul Easton

Guest Coach

Coach Paul Easton is the founder of Paul Easton Basketball. He has worked himself to be one of the top Basketball Skills trainers in the world; working with players ranging from Professional to College to High School to Elementary School. 

Coach Paul has worked and collaborated with some of the top skills trainers in the world. His belief in intense skill work with great detail to the development of the player from both a physical and mental side really sets him apart. Coach Paul was a head high school coach in the Washington DC area. He was born and raised in Scotland, UK and moved to Virginia where he trains.

Ben Teer

Guest Coach

Coach Ben Teer runs and operates Teer Basketball Training. Coach Teer played for D1 Iona College and D2 Alaska Fairbanks University. After a career ending injury, he made it his new mission to help young athletes fulfill their dreams.

Coach Ben Teer is based in Maine, and works with athletes at all levels to elevate their games. He has trained many athletes who have gone on to college scholarships. He runs training camps focusing on building a fundamental foundation with proper habits and positive thinking.


Coach Richard Wankel

Guest Coach

Coach Wankel is the assistant Basketball coach at Stern College. He is.a volunteer youth coach for multiple basketball teams in Suffolk county Long Island.

Coach Rich works with athletes of all ages and levels to hone their fundamentals.

Prior to Yeshiva, Wankel served as the assistant girls varsity basketball coach at Smithtown East, and helped the program with scouting, running practice, game preparation, and video breakdown.

Coach teaches and focuses toward fundamentals, learning, progression, confidence, team building, and providing lessons in basketball and overall development opportunities for youth attributable to other aspects of daily life.

Coach Bill Zatulskis

Guest Coach

Bill Zatulskis was the head coach of the Yeshiva University women’s basketball team and has over 30 years of successful coaching experience at both the collegiate and high school level.

Coach Zatulskis previously was the assistant women’s basketball coach and recruiting coordinator for Division I Hofstra University, and was the head coach at Stony Brook University and Adelphi University.

Coach Z also coached girls high school basketball. He was the head girls varsity basketball coach at Smithtown East, Harborfields High School, and Half Hollow Hills West High School. Coach Z was selected as the League IV Coach of the Year in both 2005 and 2009.

Cheri Hagigat

Guest Coach

Cheri runs and operates Battle, a personal training and basketball training company located in Great Neck, NY. Coach Cheri is also the coach at North Shore Hebrew Academy for both the JV and Varsity High School teams.

Coach Cheri was a yeshiva league legends who led the HANC Hurricanes to the finals. She then was recruited by St Johns and Queens College.

Leila Deluty

Coach & Drills Instructor

Leila is super excited to return for her second summer at basketball camp. Leila played at Frisch and this past year at Baruch College. She plans this year to play professional basketball overseas in Israel.
